Little Lion, or Leon (lay-on), has a perpetual look of sadness. A look that does not go away even while he is barking and chasing one of the cats! It is just how he looks. He was a bit frightened when I took these photos. I suppose making him sit in a small basket was not very nice of me!
Leon is a small chichi weighing in at about 7 pounds. He is compact in size and well proportioned. He is white with brown and some black.
Leon is great with dogs but so-so with cats. He obtains great joy chasing them and barking at them. Not so much fun for the cats! Although a bit timid, he is also fine with people. When we go to pick him up he acts all scared but does not nip. He is getting better. Leon is a great little guy.
Little Lion is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
Medical: He is neutered, micro chipped, wormed, and up to date on shots.
Microchip: Included in the adoption is the registration of the AVID micro chip in the new owner’s name.
Adoption fee: $250
Leash and Collar or Harness: a Lupine brand harness or collar and leash are provided for each
canine. Lupine has a life time guarantee; if chewed, the company will replace it free of charge (thank goodness!).
PetsConnect! has a lot of Chihuahua or chichi mixes in our program right now. About a third of the dogs in our program are chichi’s. Amazing! Large and small, purebred and mixes, female and male, black, white and tan and about every mix of that. We have a couple that are being treated for Heartworm, we have puppies too.
My goodness, we do have a lot of these little warrior lovers!
