Penny is a blond with white markings female puppy. We would guess her mix to be husky and collie and probably lab. On October 29th she was four
and a half months of age and weighed in at 30 pounds. She is tall. Penny promises to be a big girl when full grown.
Penny has two different colored eyes: a blue and a brown. And check out those ears! She certainly has to grow into those!
Penny found herself in the shelter after her owners were charged with animal cruelty. We do not know why or what happened. Penny does not show signs of being abused or hit and she appears well taken care of. But she has that bounce back personality too.
Penny has an amiable personality that matches her good looks. She does well with other dogs but not so great with cats. She wants to chase them and sometimes I swear she is hunting for them, so we keep her away from the cats. She also will bark at them when they don’t submit to her or they are hiding where she can not get them. So, let’s just say, No Cats for this girl. That will make the cat species very happy.
Obedience classes are a must. Whoever adopts this girl will need to work with her and train her for when she is full grown she can either be your very best buddy who will do anything for you most of the time or your worst nightmare pulling on the leash, barking all the time and being a pain. So, if you want this one, you must plan on shelling out the money and time for classes.
With the right person, this dog has the potential to be magnificent.
Penny is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
Medical: She is spayed, micro chipped, wormed, and up to date on shots.
Microchip: Included in the adoption is the registration of the AVID micro chip in the new owner’s name.
