He is just two months old in these photos taken a couple weeks ago. He will be a large dog when full grown. We have no idea if he will shed or not, but he probably will shed.
But he also plays with the other pups just fine and has no problems keeping up with them. He is feeling better now and has just started to bark. His little barks are so cute to hear. He will bark at me for one thing or another. He is, as you can tell, a favored foster puppy.
Gurney takes great photos! We didn’t know what to call him for quite awhile. The first time he went to the prison, to participate in our Daylight program, with several of the other puppies, the kids tried to name him but none of the names fit. Then they named Gunney – and from that came Gurney. You can see the jump there. And from there came Journey and then Jordan. Yea, naming puppies – gets old after awhile!
Anyway, this young fella is not housetrained, he is good with other dogs and with cats and will be fine with children. He is good about coming when called and stays with me during walks. You can read more about our walks here.
Gurney is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
Medical: He is neutered, micro chipped, wormed, and up to date on shots.
Microchip: Included in the adoption is the registration of the AVID micro chip in the new owner’s name.
Adoption fee: $250
Leash and Collar or Harness: a Lupine brand harness or collar and leash are provided for each
canine. Lupine has a life time guarantee; if chewed, the company will replace it free of charge (thank goodness!).
PetsConnect! is an all volunteer not-for-profit organization moving into out Tenth Year!
All the animals are in foster homes and well cared for, we pay our bills, make our thank yous and our volunteers work very hard to run PetsConnect! as a professional, caring, friendly business!
The animals in our program come from local animal shelters and to the employees and volunteers of our local animal shelters we are most grateful and thankful for the hard, emotionally taxing work they engage in daily.
