Sophie here. That is me on the Kuranda bed – it’s hard to snag one of those things because all the other dogs want it too … and then so do the cats .. geesh. But there I am with one all to myself! Took a nice long nap too.
And here I am again sitting beside the Kurand Bed waiting for my chance to steal a spot! Yea, I’m pretty good at that. Or another trick is to get onto a corner and snuggle in. I do that in my foster parent’s bed at night too. Guess that is why they use their feet to push me back to the end of the bed. They tell me to sleep on a doggy bed on the floor, but it’s not like they don’t have the most comfy bed in the house!
My foster mom picked me from the animal shelter. She didn’t want me, in fact, close your ears, she said, “Ooo that one is so ugly!” Seriously .. she said that! But I was in with Maddie the poodle and my foster mom felt bad leaving me behind. And she said it was best to empty a kennel rather than just take one. Guess you can tell she likes those ugly poodles!
Good thing she doesn’t have to think every dog she fosters is cute because after I got home here I got really, really sick. I had a really bad upper respiratory infection. I slept a lot. And I slept a lot on this red doggy bed. My mom washed it a lot too. Mom says it’s just what it is, there are germs in shelters and lots of dogs to spread germs and sometimes we get sick. I’m well now … had my special day at the vet too so mom says I’m spayed now.
I’m really good in the house. Sometimes I climb into the laundry baskets with clothes in them. And I like toys and rawhides too. Mom says I’m close to being housetrained but not totally there yet.
I hate being in a cage – hate it, hate it, hate it. So, I bark and bark. And I bark right through citronella no bark collars too. My foster mom is noise sensitive so no more crates.. no more barking. When she leaves she puts me in the dining room or out in the big doggy kennel. She says I’m a great watch dog .. I bark at noises but love everyone.
Remember how I said my mom said I was ugly? Well, then she takes that photo at the top and says, “Wow, What a pretty dog!”
Yea, like Duh!
Anyway, I’m a neat girl looking for a great home. I’d love to be a companion to someone as I love to be by people but I’d be a great family dog too .. I know I could do it!
