Gianna is a pretty short hair female Calico. She is about two years old and probably up to about ten pounds now. She is a big girl! She likes people and is rather smart. And she enjoys being out and about on a harness!
This cat enjoys car rides. It is the craziest thing! She will sit on the back seat all content and happy as can be. She hates carriers so maybe she figures the cat harness is a better option?
This is a photo of her taken laying on the back seat of the car coming home from an adoption event.
Gianna came to us pregnant – that was back in early Spring. She delivered one kitten but it was dead, however, she didn’t seem to understand and kept licking it as if it were alive. Her foster mom had to take it away. It took Gianna awhile to figure out what happened and then she was so angry at the world! She swiped at the dogs, at the other cat and even at the people. So, she came to my house.
I did what I do with angry cats: put her in a cage and hoped she would come around. She did.
She is now loose in my house with many other cats and she is fine. Does she play buddy-buddy or gossip during the middle of the night with them? No. Does she fight or cause hissy fits among the cats? No.
She co-exists. Sometimes she even seems entertained by their antics!
And the dogs. Ok, she is not crazy about dogs but she no longer sees it as her mission to go on an all out attack at them when she sees them. Now she just keeps an eye on them…. and sometimes, sometimes she will even forget and, Oh My Goodness, Fall asleep! Then she wakes up with a OOPS.
She really is such a funny cat with so much character. She is a calico and they are characters!
She would be fine by herself for long work days and while you are at work she will snooze and rest up so she can be your very best listening buddy and offer lots of condolences and praises for all you accomplished that day!
Gianna is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
