2 year old female
Chihuahua and Manchester Terrier mix

Macy is a sweet little girl full of kisses! She loves to sleep in bed with us at night and during the day she always at someone’s feet.
Macy was left in at a local shelter, said to be a stray but we suspect her owner left her and maybe, given these economic times, there was a good reason, we don’t know. What we do know is that she was so scared that no one could easily get close to her. She sat in the far corner of her kennel just shaking like a leaf and if anyone came close she threatened to nail them! I went in to pull a couple dogs and was actually looking for larger lab type dogs. When the weather is nice it is so easy for us to foster the big guys who are awkward adolescents!
But this little girl caught my attention .. I walked by a couple times. She glared at me if I came close. Then the third walk by I decided she was coming home with me. The shelter employee was able to get one of the other dogs to go to the outside kennel leaving her, me and another smaller dog. I sat down on the floor but she was not convinced and went to the door. The employee slowly opened the door and Macy was so concerned with that she wasn’t paying attention that she backing up right into my lap! I slowly scooped her up and that was that! With Chihuahua’s once you can get them in your arms then the rest is easy as apple pie! Getting up wasn’t so swift but I did it with her in my arms. That poor thing shook so much it was carrying a vibrator out the door!
Want to know how long it takes to win over a chichi’s affection?
Hours .. truly. Here is Macy with my husband just three days later!
She adores him too. But when he is not here, I will do!
Macy is fine with other dogs and cats.
Macy would be ok with teen age kids and up but not little kids as she could not handle all the friends running about – it would scare her too much.
