Westy and Scotty

Westy is the white one

Year old Brothers
They weigh in at 5-6 pounds each
They can be separated but would also make a great pair too.  And look how cute they are?!

They are pretty much housetrained but need to be taken out on a regular basis, and belly bands would help the occasional marking though that is fairly westy_scotty6_july_5_2010rare now.
These two are great little guard dogs!  You will know if anyone is near your home or property – people, dogs, cats, you name it.  Yes, they like to bark – or Yip which may be more descriptive.

They are fun to go for walks – on leash or off.  They come running full steam ahead when called.  They are smart little scotty_june_15_2010guys and learn quick.  They like to go potty on the grass (rather than cement or bricks).
Scotty is all black with wiry hair, straight up ears and a curly tail.  Cute, cute cute!

He is initially anyway, a bit timid but once he knows you he is an all love bug.  He loves to hop in laps, run around the yard, yip at anything that he deems needs a good westy3_july_5_2010scolding and in general a fun little dog.
Westy is named for his Wheaton coloring – not quite white, not quite cream.  His hair is super soft, silky and long.  He too has those cute upright ears and a curling over his back tail that has long hair.  You can see in the photo how Westy’s hair loves those clingy things from the woods.
Westy is more outgoing from the start.  He is braver and will jump up and snap at big dogs.  So, maybe he is really more foolish!
Neither of these boys would do well live in a home with big dogs scottywesty2_july_5_2010and need to be watched when around big dogs.  Some they are ok with but then others they take a real attitude too.
If they are separated, they will look all over for one another.  They love each other’s company.  They are excellent with other little dogs too.  They enjoy hanging with Winston Churchill, Little Lassie and Dom DeLuise.

The adoption fee is $250 for each or $400 for the pair.
westy7a_july_5_2010sm Everything has been done: neutered, micro chipped, up to date on shots including rabies, heartworm tested (negative), wormed and they are both on heartworm and flea prevention.  There adoption fee includes a Lupine leash and harness set.
What a deal!

The ideal home for these two would be one where they could be together, and someone who wants to show off a great pair of pups and take them everywhere with them!  They would also be fine left home alone if they were together … a puppy pen and some puppy pads (ok, maybe some toys, and rawhides a comfy bed too) would hold them for a long work day.  But then when you get home – WATCH OUT – for they will be ALL OVER YOU!
