And we find at the end of a perfect day,
The soul of a friend we’ve made
….. Carrie Joacbs Bond
Meet Madison and Precious, a well bonded pair of female Chihuahuas.
Madison is the brown, tan and cream. Born May 5th, 2004, Madison is now six years of age. She has lost a fair number of her teeth – some chichi’s simply have bad teeth and she is one of them – which gives her that bit of a funny look around her mouth.
Precious is tan .. all tan. Precious was born August 23, 2004, she is almost six years of age. Precious came to us with an ugly bump on her nose which we had removed. It was not cancerous and just one of those things that happens. However, her teeth are in fairly good shape.
Madison and Precious started off in our program back in 2006 when they were both youngsters. They were quickly adopted out as a pair and have been together ever since. The girls were returned as the owners have aged to the point where they can no longer care for them. It’s a shame really as now they are older. On the bright side though, they are chichi’s and this breed tends to live a lot longer than many other breeds!
The girls come with their own ‘bedrooms’! Seriously, they were returned with oversize cat carriers which the girls love. Each cat carrier has the dogs name, soft bedding inside with their tags attached to the door. They sleep in these at night time. The girls are close but a bit of ‘away’ time suits them fine. They also come with their very own pink rain coats that are simply adorable.
Madison dearly loves to roll in the grass!
Meanwhile, Madison likes to ‘check out’ stuff.
Here is a photo of Precious before the vet removed that bump on her nose. We teased that we should put a witches hat and cape on her and dress her up for Halloween. She was skeptical at best.
Precious can get out of some short puppy pens – not sure if she is climbing or squeezing.
During the day they like to sleep on my bed or on pillows or better yet, on a pillow On my bed! They are always together .. always. They may grumble with one another every now and then but they are fast buddies.
In the evening they cuddle with us and watch TV .. they are really the cuddle bunnies!
