Fenced in yard would be desired because despite what Paco thinks, and we have not had the heart to tell him, there really are things out there that will do him in!
Paco sleeps in bed with us at night, he prefers to sleep snuggled under the covers. And he is not a morning creature, but prefers those lazy, “let’s pretend it’s a Saturday and sleep in” mornings!
He will bark at things that go bump in the night, new noises, and cars that drive up the driveway.
“Money will buy you a pretty good dog, but it won’t buy the wag of his tail..” Henry Wheeler Shaw
Paco would be best with an owner who understands Chihuahua’s and knows how to handle him. With the right person or people, Paco is an absolute doll, however, he is not a candidate for Pet Therapy!
He would be great for someone who wants a great pet to be a companion, a person who doesn’t feel the urge to take their dog to the local dog park, a person who is content to be with Paco at home or for walks around the neighborhood.
Paco will share a dog crate with another dog but usually we just leave him loose. He will lift a leg off and on but that happens only when I bring home a new foster. He is getting better – and maybe he is taking serious my threats to cut off his legs if he doesn’t stop lifting them!!
He is fine with big dogs, puppies and enjoys other small dogs .. like Mojo and Dapper Dan.
His all out favorite place to be is cuddled in a lap.

Making a Difference
PetsConnect! is an all volunteer not-for-profit organization moving into out Tenth Year!
All the animals are in foster homes and well cared for, we pay our bills, make our thank yous and our volunteers work very hard to run PetsConnect! as a professional, caring, friendly business!
The animals in our program come from local animal shelters and to the employees and volunteers of our local animal shelters we are most grateful and thankful for the hard, emotionally taxing work they engage in daily.
