Chetna, Chutney, Rini, Raina and Roanne
Five Littermates
Two boys: Chetna and Chutney
Three girls: Rini, Raina, Roanne
Estimated date of birth: December 18th, 2009
Breed mix: Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, Boxer and who knows what else!
They have been spayed or neutered, have had a couple sets of shots, been wormed, micro chipped and are on Revolution.
Rini: This is Rini.
Rini is a short hair pretty black with some white. ![]()
This is Raini.
Raini has really long hair and is large. She looks like a smaller version of her big brother Chetna.
The puppies are active .. really active!
They love toys and will sometimes tear them up and spread the stuffing everywhere.
They can climb too. We had them in a short puppy pen, then a medium one, then a tall one and now they are in a super duper tall one! They can not climb this one but it is four feet tall.
They love to jump on the couch and chase the cats.
This is Roanne.
Roanne is that breed mix that is Who knows what Else!
Roanne is a really pretty puppy. She has short black hair but then white markings as well as brindle!
See that nice stripe on her chest?
That is a brindle stripe. And she has brindle on her face and her legs too. Then her toes are white tipped.
This is an awesome looking puppy that will grow into one great looking dog!
She is sweet and not as rambunctious as her siblings. Don’t get excited
though about her being calm .. it’s all relative!
And here is Chutney.
Chutney is another odd one out. But originally there were like 15 in this litter … the shelter adopted out many of the puppies but then these five came down with a cold so we took them. Honestly though, these are the healthiest puppies I’ve fostered in a very long time!
One may ask, you may wonder, where do we come up with these names at? OK, for vet records it is best if we have a variety of names. I called to make an appointment for Charlie, the brown tabby, only to learn we had six Charlies in the file at our vet and they were all brown tabbies! We went with Charlie 2010. I am not always clever in the name game.
So, Chutney came with his name from the shelter. I think it’s a
name generator program but I thought it was a cute name. I went to a website that helps people name babies. The program creates a web of names. It is pretty neat. And that is where these names come from.
Chetna: a very big boy.
Chetna is enormous .. so much so that he could almost pass for a newfie pup. He is a self confident pup who loves to play and use his body size to his advantage. He is stocky with big legs and very big paws.
This pup is absolutely adorable.
Big and fluffy. Long black curly hair. Great white markings!
I should point out one last trait of these puppies.
I hate to but here it is. Oh, they love to make noise!
They think they are in a choir and can be very vocal!
Here are some more great photos of Chetna and Chutney
