Lab Mix Puppies
Five Black Lab Mix Puppies
The Girls: Rook, Tarby, and Wendy
The Boys: Magic and Peter Pan
Date of Birth: October 23, 2009
They are not that large for black lab pups thus the emphasis on Mix. A few have slim bodies and potentially long hair and cute feathery tails. All five have dew claws. So maybe Border Collies mixes? They love to retrieve balls and will spend a fair amount of time playing with the balls. They like to play with toys and each others ears too!![]()
And they enjoy going outside even though it’s bitter cold and over a foot of snow! We plowed them a path around the garden which they are enjoying a lot. Murphy Brown and Quincy like to go outside with them but those two break out of the path for little explores leaving the pups behind eating their snow!
In this photo they are on the patio pondering whether or not to venture down to the path. It took them a bit to learn to do the steps. Peter Pan, or Pan for short, is the only pup with white on him. He is also the biggest. He loves to be outside and will stay outside so long that his feet are bothering him from the cold .. he will pick up one and then the other but still has to be coaxed to come inside.
Their story: they were left at a local shelter with no information. They were put in adoption and were there for a couple weeks. They started to get the sniffles and quite honestly, cuter puppies came into the shelter so we were asked if we could come get them. We had seen them a couple weeks earlier and thought they were very cute. So, we went and got them. This is a win-win for the shelter … these five go into rescue and the new pups go into adoption and those new pups are sure to be scooped right up by adopters! Works for us.
The pups love to curl up on the Kuranda bed!
Here all five are snuggled in for a nice long winter nap after a romp in the snow.
