Is a Laberdoodle and Mastiff mix puppy. At three months, which is how old she is in these photos, she is 28 pounds. She will be a big girl when full grown.
Murphy is a sweet hear of a dog: she has that big dog easy going style.
She is absolutely adorable.
Murphy does enjoy being outside in the snow playing with Terra, or Quincy or Libby. She is curious about the cats and likes to follow Honey around sniffing her butt till Honey has had enough. Then Murphy is so shocked when Honey gives her a smack on the nose – a gentle smack too. Honey just tires of the butt flipping from Murphy’s nose! But Murphy is getting better.
Murphy has been spayed and micro chipped, is up to date on her shots and has been wormed. She is on Interceptor for heartworm prevention and Frontline Plus for flea prevention. Murphy’s story is rare for us in that she came to us from a private individual. When we were holding an adoption event a local PetSmart store, a person showed with this puppy saying she could not leave the store with her. We are not sure how much of her story was valid so we won’t repeat it. But Murphy Brown is such a nice puppy how could we resist? Adoption events really are a way to find homes for pups and kittens – not take in more!
Murphy enjoys rawhides, curling up on the Kuranda bed with another puppy and staying at my side. During the night she sleeps on the floor by our bed – my side of the bed actually. She appears to be housetrained but may still have accidents.
When we leave we put her in a crate but other than that she has free run of the house.
