Terra the Terrier

You looking at me?

I thought so!

Well, I’m not surprised.  I’m as cute as they come: front, center and rear too.

My name is Terra.  My mom says I’m named for the earth which one day she will see again if it ever stops snowing.

I LOVE the snow!  I love to run and jump and play and race around the garden.  I’m in a new foster home now and I love the snow there too!

And I love toys: stuffy ones, squeaky ones, pully ones too.  Sometimes I don’t like to share but usually I do because I enjoy a great game of tug.

Here is a photo of me back in the woods in the snow.  I was terra_outside6_dec_26_2009smtrying to find a private place to do my business but my mom showed up with her camera – so much for privacy!

terra_outside3_dec_26_2009 I’m pretty neat looking from the rear view: one side is white and one side is brown and black!
I enjoy my crate but would rather be out loose.  My mom lets me be out loose because I know to go outside to do my business – duh.
But when she leaves, she puts me in my crate.  Sometimes she gives me a chew toy – did I mention those in my list?terra_aggie2_dec_24_2009

Ok, I love toys: stuffy ones, squeaky ones, pully ones and chewy ones too!
This is me with my buddy Aggie.  We are enjoying a nap on my mom’s bed while she reads.  She is reading a new book, “Under the Dome”.  She has to stop and start a lot to let us in and out.

I was born in late July and my mom says I won’t get much bigger.

I’m smart too and I love murphy_brown_terra_outside9_dec_26_2009learning new tricks for treats.  Love the treats.

This is me and Murphy Brown.  Murphy is a fun pup but she doesn’t play as much as I do.

My new foster home is fun too.  LuluBelle use to be here but she is now  in another foster home.  Lulu was too big for my foster mom who is really small.  There is another dog here and some cats that think they are dogs!

Here are some more photos of me:

The animals in our program come from local animal shelters and to the employees and volunteers of our local animal shelters we are most grateful and thankful for the hard, emotionally taxing work they engage in daily.
