Houston has a sweet and what feels like laid back personality. When out in the yard with another dog he can kick up the snow and race about and do all the body slamming called for but then when on a leash with us he calms down.
He is newer to our program so not sure how long this will last but I can say temperment wise this is a super nice dog.
A fenced in yard and someone with time to train him desired.
He will require grooming and someone who is happy to brush a dog weekly and more during shedding season.
Why participate in a dog obedience class.
There are many reasons why taking your new puppy to a dog class is a good thing:
encourage bonding, increase pups self-esteem, learn new things or new ways of teaching those old things, meet new people who love dogs too, have resources to help solve those doggy behaviors we don’t want, and maybe, just maybe, get involved in the world of doggy sports because today, there is a multitude of doggy sports for everyone!
Here are a few: Rally obedience, agility, musical freestyle, lure coursing, barn hunt, hose work, conformation, herding. Your wallet may be lighter when you go out and compete but your life will be fuller!
Houston is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
