Reid

reid_july_2_2018 (3)psReid is another fine example of an All American Mutt!
This boy is sweet as the day is long.reid_june_30_2018 (2)ps
He is a lover of water. He is one of those dogs that doesn’t just get his legs wet in the kiddie pool but he get’s in and lies down and then stays there for a good period of time. Even better if there is a toy for him to play with while he is ‘bathing’.
Reid does great with other dogs and I suspect would be fine with other animals.
He is super sweet.  He tends to be a bit cautious when encountering new experiences.

reid_ball_june_30_2018psReid has been quiet here, only barking when someone is at the door or drives up the driveway.
Reid does enjoy fetching the ball.

He has been great in his crate or in the walk in kennel he shares most nights with Atlee.
They have a couple super sized doggy beds they like to snuggle up on, not together, but on their own pillows.
He has been good in the house but new adopters will want to keep an eye on him the first week or so.

We have not had Reid around children but suspect he will be fine.

Please note that adopters will be expected to participate in a dog obedience class.reid_pool_june_30_2018 (1)ps
There are many reasons why taking your new puppy to a dog class is a good thing:
reid_pool_june_30_2018 (7)psencourage bonding, increase pups self-esteem, learn new things or new ways of teaching those old things, meet new people who love dogs too, have resources to help solve those doggy behaviors we don’t want, and maybe, just maybe, get involved in the world of doggy sports because today, there is a multitude of doggy sports for everyone!
Here are a few: Rally obedience, agility, musical freestyle, lure coursing, barn hunt, hose work, conformation, herding. Your wallet may be lighter when you go out and compete but your life will be fuller!
