riley_march_22_2018 (4)ps Meet Riley.
Such a cool dude.
Riley is a two year old male.
We are guessing Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix.  But if you adopt him, he can be whatever mix you want him to be!   We had him at our groomer a day after he came to our program and wow, what a difference a day at the spa made.  He is just so handsome.

He is also a good dog.  He is in a home with two other dogs and two small boys, toddler size boys.
Riley’s foster mom believes he has been beaten pretty badly.  riley_march_22_2018 (21)ps
She writes:
“Doesn’t know any commands and is scared of a lot of things. We started working in sitting, but he acts like I am about to beat him when i try to make him sit or reach for him.
But overall a happy dog, good with kids!”

riley_march_22_2018 (7)psSo far Riley has been great in his crate, well, when he can get into it as the year old baby boy loves to climb into Riley’s cage as well!  Riley is really good with the children.

Riley needs lots of socilaization as new things scare him.
More from his foster mom:
He is “Pretty good, scared of most things. He freaked pretty good when the roomba turned on yesterday, lol! Doesn’t jump on furniture, but does like the multiple dog beds we have.
He was pretty curious about the dinner table and the highchair with food. But he backed away when I said No.”

riley_march_22_2018 (16)psRiley is a bit of a guard dog.
When grandma came to visit she walked right in the house only to have Riley standing his ground with a growl.
Yup, no on is getting into his house!
Poor grandma.  She says, Hey, I thought you said the dog was a lover!
Well, he is, but he is protective as well.
Once he knew grandma was allowed all was well.

This is just one really nice dog.
Here is a video of photos and videos from our visit to Little Island Park in South Bend just after he was groomed and before he went to his foster home.
