Hi, my name is Bandit, I’m 11 months old, and I weigh about 50 pounds.
After some stressful times of living on the streets of Puerto Rico, I was taken to a shelter.
A hurricane came through and the shelter couldn’t take care of me so I went on a very long ride in an airplane to Indiana.
My friend Bailey and I moved into a foster home in November.
We had been through a lot, and even though the foster family tried to make us feel at home, we stayed under a table and shook for several days.
Bailey got adopted, and I’m still with my foster family.
My foster sister, Mia, is a 2 year old Yellow Lab and I like her a lot. She likes to chase balls and I like to chase her. We like to sleep next to each other.
My foster brother, Rufus, is a 13 year old Shepherd mix, and sometimes he gets frustrated with me.
I am very respectful of him.
My foster mom just took this picture – I am watching her blog about me.
She says I’m low maintenance, for a puppy.
I quickly learned to go potty outside.
I get along with other dogs.
Every once in a while, I try to chew something I shouldn’t, but I’m getting better all the time.
I love to play with Mia, and Rufus, when he lets me.
The only issue I have is I have been through a lot of trauma for the first 10 months of my life and I am very, very shy. New situations make me uncomfortable.
I am making progress, but it’s going to take a while for me to feel comfortable around people.
Bandit is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application
