The dogs in our program come from local animal shelters.
Volunteers visit the shelters either when we have space or upon request and we feel we have space for more dogs and we bring
to our homes dogs that we can work with.
I’ll be honest, when we were called to come look at labs I was surprised.
We just don’t see labs much anymore.
But there they were!
Murphy, Jackson and Reuben!
Murphy has been adopted.
Reuben has lots of energy and can be quite expressive. He is a fun loving pup who loves to run and play.
This is the dog for you if you like going for walks and on adventures and want a dog to take with you.
Of course, first you will want to participate in a doggy obedience class so that he is a good doggy citizen but he is a fast, eager learner and will go to the top in his class. He would be a good candidate for Pet Therapy and doggy agility too.
Reuben loves playing with other dogs: chase and be chased is his motto.
And he will chase balls and such.
He does not seem to interested in cats.
Reuben would also make a nice family dog as I would think he would be good with children, bet he would love himself some teen-agers!
He would do best with a fenced in yard and in cases where there are young children, a fence is required.
Reuben is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
