My name is Zsa Zsa. I weigh 10 pounds, but bigger dogs have nothing on me as far as playing fetch, catching a ball, or licking your face. When I was a puppy, a young couple adopted me. My “Mom” and “Dad” loved me very much and thought I was the best fur baby ever. Although they loved me, they found they could no longer care for me once they had a new baby in the home. I understand “no” and will go into my crate if you have to leave me for awhile. I have no problem staying in my crate for 3 to 5 hours at a time. My crate is my “safe place” when my people are away, and I’m fine with that. Please note: I like my privacy when I go outside to do my business (and I like to take my time and not be rushed). And my nails grow quickly and get sharp, so it helps to get them trimmed and ground down so that they are less likely to scratch anyone.
I like my squeaky toys and will enjoy making them squeak for what seems like 20 minutes. I am eager to please and easily re-directed to play fetch or chew on a rope toy. My ball is one of my favorite things. I am working on “Sit” and “Stay.” I will definitely sit when you are giving out my favorite snack! I appreciate a sweater when it’s chilly outside. Most of the time, I am happy just knowing that one of my people is hanging out with me. A small house or apartment would be fine for me. In my foster home, I am only allowed on the main floor, since I think the basement is the same thing as being out in the yard. I love going for walks on my leash. A home with no children younger than age 10 is best.
