A bit more detail:
Augie is a cute little guy with a lot of zest! He seems to take to one person in the house. When he was at our house for just over a week while his foster mom went on vacation, Augie took to my young adult son who was also visiting us. They just bonded. Augie would sit in his lap while he studied and they played fetch and went for walks to go potty out on the property.
Augie can be testy with those he does not like but he will not lunge or anything like that, he keeps a distance and will growl if he does not want us near him. He is a character.
Augie is good with other dogs and cats, but not great. He does best with dogs that are closer to his size. Once he settled in he was growling and nipping a bit at the other dogs, even our 80 pound collie mix. Augie would really do best as a one and only. He kind of ignores the cats but they are all bigger and find him amusing.
I suspect once he bonds to you, Augie will be a dog that stays right with you and comes when called.
He would be good as a traveling dog, like with a truck drive.
We don’t believe he would be all that great with children.
Augies saving grace: this little guy is completely house trained, and he walks really well on a leash.
Augie is in a foster home that he shares with a couple other small dogs, not as small as him, but small never-the-less. He is leash walked out to a fenced play area. He enjoys playing with the other two chichi mixes (that are probably in the 12 pound range each).
Augie is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application

Leash and Collar or Harness: a Lupine brand harness or collar and leash may be provided for each canine. Lupine has a life time guarantee; if chewed, the company will replace it free of charge (thank goodness!).
