Pippi is a cute as can be, super small Chihuahua.
Weighing in at just under five pounds at a year old, this little one will not get any bigger.
She is not house trained but we are working on it.
She does fine with cats and other dogs but she is not too excited about the large dogs. I would say not dogs bigger than Cocker Spaniel size.
With little dogs like this, potential adopters want to know that she can easily break a bone if she jumps off the back of a couch or a bed. Thankfully, thus far Pippi is not inclined to climb up furniture and jump off.
Pippi is very much a puppy! She is playful and fun and lvoes to chew and drag toys around.
Her story: she was brought into a local animal shelter after being hit by a car. The shelter called us, we called our vet and our vet was able to work her in on a Saturday morning. X-rays revealed no broken bones, but other tests showed that her lungs and heart had been bumped so to speak. After a few days in the vet’s office, she needed lots and lots of crate rest.
Thankfully, this little tough cookie has made a complete recovery! She has been spayed and brought up to date on her shots too.
And she is ready to be adopted!
Pippi is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application
Medical: She is spayed, micro chipped, wormed, and up to date on shots.
Microchip: Included in the adoption is the registration of the AVID micro chip in the new owner’s name.
Adoption fee: $250
Leash and Collar or Harness: a Lupine brand harness or collar and leash are provided for each canine. Lupine has a life time guarantee; if chewed, the company will replace it free of charge (thank goodness!).
