Charlie

charlie_dec_28_2014 (6)smrCharlie is one awesome little dog!
He is great with other dogs, he is really good with cats and he is fantastic with children.
His personality just can’t be beat.

Charlie is fun, playful, sweet and affectionate.
He enjoys running and playing in the yard with the other dogs.
And cuddling on the couch is his cup of tea.

Charlie does not shed.  He is a Bichon Frise and Poodle mix, at least that is what we are guessing.  He has to be groomed on a regular basis or his hair starts looking rather dirty and things start sticking to his hair.  He has soft, silky hair that is really nice to touch.

Charlie did great in his foster home, was adopted out but returned because of house training issues.charlie_standing_dec_28_2014smr
Back in his foster home he goes outside to go potty and has had no accidents.
He went on a home visit with children and they loved him.
But he had house training issues there too.
Back at his foster home, he is good going outside to potty.
What happened?
Well, the first people used an electric collar inappropriately so now he is afraid of electric fences or electric collars.  The second people didn’t have a fence and we suspect Charlie was waiting to be zapped so he would sit on the patio and just look out over the yard.
While, I admit, we could be wrong, we are pretty sure this boy is reacting to the electric collars.
So, this next time the home he goes to must have a fenced in yard where he can run out and go potty with no fear of being hurt.  And if there were another doggy for him to play with? Well, that would be great!

charlie_dec_28_2014smrOnce he get’s in a home where he is good about the house training, then that family will be the luckiest around because this really is the sweetest dog going.  Behavior issues are so much easier to deal with then temperament issues!
