At 10 months of age he should be close to full grown, which is good as he currently weighs in at close to 70 pounds.
He is a big baby boy.
Keiko landed in an animal shelter as a puppy because his owners could not care for him.
He spent a couple months at the shelter before coming into our program.
The first order of business was to work with him on keeping his crate clean, meaning no pottying in one’s crate.
He has accomplished that.
Second order of business was having him go from his crate to outside and back in again.
And he does that great.
Sounds like a report card for grade school, doesn’t it?
Well, when people get a puppy and don’t train it and dump it in an animal shelter where it sits for awhile, we do have a list of learning skills for the dogs to master!
Now we are working on leash training, having some new experiences as well as short stints in the house.
We are getting there!
Keiko appears to be one of those designer breeds that has been all the rage.
He is a Labrakita, a Lab and an Akita mix.
Keiko has warmhearted eyes in a darling face.
His look just begs for us to take him up and give him some lovings.
But he needs discipline too, soft hand, soft voice only.
Keiko tends to be timid and would not do well with any harsh discipline at all.
This is going to be a great dog. Can’t lie, he needs work but the pay off for your time and efforts will be great!
Is this your next lifetime companion?
