An interesting looking dog, Driver is said to be a doxie, Yorkie and Schnuazzer mix.
He Has short legs and a longer body, just not so much as a purebred doxie.
He has cute doxie ears and the general head shape of a doxie but his nose is a bit shorter.
He is a tri color, moslty black but with tan and silver coloring too.
His face is adorable! Right now, in these photos he has a cherry eye in the one eye but that will be fixed when he is
neutered. Imagine him without the cherry eye.
The top of his head has a yorkie look: long silver hair.
Driver is just cute!
He is house trained but does not do so well in a crate. So, thus far we leave him loose or he stays in a large kennel.
During the night he shares a large kennel with Hazel and LuLu, but I know he would love to sleep in bed with us.
When we are watching TV he does love to snuggle.
Driver is so-so with cats. If they ignore him and just hang like cats sometimes do then all is well. But if the cats run he
will chase them. I don’t think he would hurt them but he may do best in a cat-free home.
Driver weighs in at 10 pounds, is full grown and three and a half years of age.
This is a nice little dog. He is calm, easy going and does not get into things.
This would be a nice dog for an older couple, or anyone looking for more of a couch type dog.
Exercise is still required though, especially to keep him from putting on weight. It’s really hard on dogs with long backs
and short legs. They can develop all sorts of physical problems. So, for this boy some exercise and watching what he
eats and he will be a great companion pet for some lucky person.
Driver is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
