A handsome black with cream and some gray, Dakota appears to be a German Shepherd and perhaps Husky mix.
Once in a blue moon he offers this low sweet sounding resonant howl.
Dakota is still a puppy and as in the case with all puppies, he would benefit from participating in dog obedience classes with his owner. As quick as he learns I suspect he will be the star of his class.
Dakota is of a sweet nature. When he first came he was a scared and a bit timid but that is all gone now. He would respond well to treat training, lure training or clicker training.
Dakota is fine with our cat but I can not say he won’t chase a cat. He is playful. But if the cat stops and looks at him, he will stop.
He tends to be on the wimpy side. Yet, there is this other side of him too as he will occasionally hump other dogs. I think he is trying to be dominant but can’t seem to pull it off.
Dakota will need continued work on house training and house manners.
He is crate trained.
