Wilhelmina: “Meena” for short

An odd looking dog for sure, Wilhelmina, or Meena for short, is looking forward to spending the rest of her life much better off then her past.

Meena came to us with a skin condition caused by fleas and poor living environment. Her skin was so bad that it sores had developed into deep cuts and across her side, back and by her tail she has hair loss.

Then there is her jaw. If you look closely you can see her jaw is mis-matched. We don’t know if this was a birth defect or if it was broken but given her condition the later could be the case.
When we see a dog in such poor physical condition we can only be thankful that it landed in an animal shelter where it’s options are better.
The morning after Meena came into our program she went to the vet for an over all check up and the vet
prescribed anti-biotics and gave her shot to help relieve her of the itch and pain of her skin.
By day two she was a much happier dog.
Drugs can be amazing things!
Meena is five years old. She is an easy going girl but when shove comes to push she will hold her own, or at least try to. I doubt she can do much with that crooked jaw.

She eats just fine: Purina One Adult with some canned food with her antibiotics mixed in. And she can crunch down a treat including milk biscuits just as quick as the next dog!

Meena is going to a great dog from a family or couple or person who wants a nice quiet, easy going, easy to care for dog.
