Gallagher is a four year old Shih Tzu mix.
This dog is one of those that we shake our heads at and wonder how he ended up in a local animal shelter, which is what happened.
He was picked up as a stray. He was already neutered but did need to be groomed.
No one came to claim him.
While at the shelter, we must admit, he was not the happiest camper but he was not so bad either.
He just needs a bit more time to adjust to new people and is happier in a quieter sort of set up. Kind of describes a lot of people I know, including me!
So, we had him groomed and discovered this handsome boy.
He is not just house trained, but he is well behaved in the home.
His favorite activity? Hanging where I am. Lying at my feet when I read, or at the end of the couch if I watch TV. He is a simple needs sort of guy.
Gallagher would be great for a quiet couple. I’m not sure how well he will do when small children visit but he doesn’t bark at all and could be contained in his crate or an out of the way bedroom. Or maybe he will be fine once he gets to know the children?
Potential adopters should bear in mind that he does not shed so will require regular grooming
He is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
