Charlie

Charlie is about as cute as a puppy can possibly be.  Charlie’s mom, Zoey, entered our program a few  days before she delivered five puppies: just enough time to get her to the vet and groomed!  Zoey is a white labradoodle weighing in at 72 pounds.  She is sweet, gentle, calm, easy going, smart and about as perfect as a dog can be.
Charlie is brother to Caden, Curly Sue, Cora Bell and Cup Cake.  Charlie is the only pup of this litter that is brown, his siblings are black.
Charlie, Cora Bell and Cup Cake all have the wiry hair and they are all getting white.  It’s amazing as they are changing each and every day!  Little Curly Sue looks very much like a poodle while Caden is the most handsome smooth coat lab pup I’ve seen in awhile.
The pups were born in my bedroom on a blanket on the floor at the end of my bed.  The pre-birth x-ray showed about ten pups, or so the vet said, so when there were only five pups we took her back to the vet for an after-birth x-ray to make sure there were not any more pups inside her.  Just the after birth and that all came out the next couple days.  So, standard delivery and she made it all seem like a picnic.  She is good at this!  But it’s her last litter.  No more puppies.  She is scheduled for spay and to have a few lumps removed and have her ears looked at soon.  Zoey has an adoption pending and if all goes according to plan she will be a family dog as well as a Pet  Therapy dog.

Back to Charlie.  This boy is lovely, charming actually.  He is laid back like his mom, easy to care for and work with.  He is sure to make some family or person really happy.  I don’t think there are too many who look like him.  And who knows how much white will end up on his face but any white against that brown is simply too neat looking!

Charlie is available for adoption.  If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.  Click here for adoption application
