Poochie in the Tulips

Poochie in the tulips! Poochie is a two year old blind as a bat Shih Tzu. But, as you can see, that does not keep him from tip toeing through the tulips!
Poochie is great with everything and super sweet.
He has a special harness and is learning to walk well with it on. He will also follow us around the yard but we need to either call him or slap the sides of our legs so he can follow the noise. He will also follow some dogs around.
Just a fun little guy.
He is housetrained but unless you walk out with him he will not veture far from the door to go potty.  Poochie came into our program just about a year ago.  He was adopted out.  Within a few months he was returned in dispicable shape: his skin was inflammed from the lack of care.  It has taken us months and months to get him back on track.  He is now getting a bath every other week and he is on a thyroid pill to see if that will help his skin and weight.   The medicines are really inexpensive.  And he may not need to be on them.
Poochie sleeps on our bedroom floor at night.  He would love to sleep in our bed but our bed is too tall and I fear he will fall out.  When he was in another foster home he did sleep in bed with her all night.
Poochie is housetrained but unless someone goes out with him he will not venture far from the door.  To be honest, an apartment or townhouse with a small fenced in outdoor area would be perfect for this boy.
Poochie loves everyone – he can go anywhere.  And he loves car rides.

Poochie is available for adoption.  If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment.
