Aspen is an over the top cuter than cute Border Collie puppy. He is a big boy too! At two months he weighs in at twenty pounds! He is very fluffy indicating that he may have long hair when he reaches adulthood. A tri color, Aspen is mostly black with tan and white markings.
This pup is full of lovings and playfullness. He already exhibits good attention and watches me closely. He will need someone who wants to train a dog more than just your average basic dog obedience classes. He needs to do agility or something to keep his brain occupied and his body fit. He will be a great dog for the right person.
Aspen does well with other dogs and would be ok with cats though he still needs work on the latter. No, Aspen, the cat is not wanting to be tackled!
Aspen would not do well in a home full of children because if his herding instincts kick in he will drive them nuts! He would be good with older elementary age children and visiting younger children. He is a good boy, but a herding dog is a herding dog and they nip sheep in the heels when the sheep don’t move — children are sheep in their eyes.
He will probably also be a big boy… too big for little children 24/7.
Aspen is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application
