Pooh Bear and Piper are a cute pair of sibling pups. Pooh Bear is a male and has black with tan and white markings while Piper is a female and is sable with white. Piper looks like a collie mix while Pooh Bear looks like a Rottie mix but I rather doubt they have either breed in them! The common denominator looks to be some sort of spaniel mix and then whatever else they may be is truly up for grabs. Both pups were picked up as strays, running together, or maybe dumped together. Probably dumped together as they are both pretty scared and probably would not be brave enough to run off. They are about five/six months of age, both weigh right around 25 pounds and are close to being full grown.
These two pups will shed and will require regular brushing. They are working on house manners, housetraining but it’s a slow process because they came to us so scared. I suspect they did not have a lot of human companionship wherever they were before. Landing in a local animal shelter was the best thing that could of happened to these two! For now, they are getting the attention they need.
Piper is coming around a bit faster than Pooh Bear who seems more afraid to come through doors. They are excellent in their crates, they don’t bark except when strangers come over or they hear noises that don’t belong. They love attention and enjoy being petted and held. They are great with other dogs as well as cats. A fenced in yard for either pup is a must. And no small children. Either of these pups will be enough work! But they will be great pets!
