Taylor is a sweet young adult female.
She weighs in at about 70 pounds and is mostly a reddish brown with black on the end of her muzzle. She has an endearing look about her face.  Taylor is good with everything and while if push comes to shove she may offer a small growl, that is about it.
Taylor initially entered our program this past Spring.  We first pulled her three older puppies from the shelter and then went back to get her.  You can read more about her by clicking here
Taylor was returned because the family was not able to care for her.   At first when she was returned she was slinking about but within about four days she was walking tall again.  Now she is back to her happy go lucky self!
Taylor has a lot of potential but she needs dog owners who care enough to take her for walks, keep her clean, work with her in obedience, take her for rides, to the dog park, to their friends, to the pet store and just anywhere you can think of .  She really needs lots of different socialization experiences and she needs to be a companion dog.

I think Taylor could be a nice Pet Therapy dog because she is so gentle and sweet and doesn’t react strongly to things.  I suspect after her first walk in a nursing home the wheel chairs would just be what they are and she would be greeting the residents who like to pet a dog.  Of course, it goes without saying that some dog obedience would be in order.
Taylor does great in the doggy crate.  So far, when loose in the house she has not had an accident, however, I have not left her loose in my home when I leave.
Taylor is fine with childern.  I there are children than a fenced in yard is required.  If not children and you are a dedicated walker than that would be fine too, in fact that would be a good thing.
Taylor enjoys playing with other dogs and Zoe loved her at first greeting!  Taylor will run and fetch and play tug with the other dogs.  She really does enjoy this.  If you are looking for a companion for a current dog, Taylor may be a great fit.
