I call these two the ‘bugs’! Little bug, black bug, beetle girl, beetle boy and beetle juice! They came with the names Boo and Bee – yea, I don’t think so. Finally I settled on the names Boyce and Bessie. These two were picked up running at large. They had name tags but no other information. When we first got them they looked horrid: bad coats, not been groomed, bad nutrition. You would not recognize them. And they were sick, really sick with Kennel Cough, especially Bessie. But the kennel cough is gone so last week, the day before Thanksgiving I was able to take them to The Groomer in Edwardsburg, MI for a hair job! They now look like a million bucks! The groomer said that both, but epecially Bessie, need several months of good nutrition before we see good changes in their coats.
The Bug Duo are sister and brother, and from what we can tell, have been together for a long time. They love to curl up on the couch, paws hanging over the edge, watching TV. It’s hilarious. I put animal cops on for them. They also adore rawhides, eating their breakfast and dinner and going for walks on their leashes. Boyce and Bessie are both very sweet, Boyce is a bit more forward and outgoing. Boyce has the look of a Schnuazzer while Bessie looks more like a poodle, however, I suspect a groomer can make them look more one breed than the other.
Both are available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application
