It is easy to see this young lady afloat in a boat, a cloak thrown over her shoulders heading into the Mists of Avalon. Sometimes she can look so regal as the characters in the book, but then other times she is such a silly cat bringing reality back into focus.
Avalon is quite a pretty little calico with a tail that often curls up over her back like a Chow Chow dog. She is just a year old which is telling when her kitten side takes over. She can be quite smitten by that little red light traveling back and forth across the floor.
Avalon does well with other cats and dogs. She will rub up against dogs. She likes Zoe a lot. She is also affectionate but can be aloof too. She is self confident and fun, affectionate and playful. She is quite the cat.
Avalon came into our program with a litter of kittens. All was well until the kittens were
about 8 weeks of age – then all but one died. We assume it was distemper but we are not sure. Sometimes, unfortunately, this happens. I waited and waited for the one remaining kitten to die but he did not. He is the picture of health. So, I named him Able. He is a pretty orange and white tabby boy.
Avalon is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. . Click here for adoption application.

Soft Claws: Because PetsConnect has moved to a no-declaw policy, we are using soft claws as a training tool for our foster cats. Soft Claws are soft plastic nail caps for cats. This cat has them on her front paws. To learn more about Soft Claws.
