Chi Chi McGee is a little guy weighing in a mere five pounds. At first look it’s easy to pity him. His back legs bend at an uncomfortable angle and he is thin. But this boy can move! And he is a lover – lap dog all the way.
Chi Chi McGee has Luxating patella, a common condition in small dogs. Because he is so small, exercise, good food and good care will serve him well.
McGee is also allergic to fleas or the flea bites. He landed in a local animal shelter with some hair loss and places where he just wanted to eat at his skin. Our vet gave him a shot to relieve the itching and McGee is much better now. It’s really important that whoever adopts this dog makes sure he never has fleas! He is now on Revolution which is a heartworm prevenative and flea prevenative.
McGee enjoys the company of other small dogs, he really likes to hang and sleep with Pinto. McGee is ok with bigger dogs but he ignores them. McGee is housetrained, sleeps with us at night and is very well behaved in the home. He is fine with cats – they are all bigger than him anyways.
Chi Chi McGee is available for adoption. If you are interested, please fill out an application and email it to us as an attachment. Click here for adoption application
