Sweet Peaches

This sweet girl is named after a male Black Labrador Retriever that we had for almost 16 years.  He was the simply the best dog gone dog in the world!
Peaches was sitting in a kennel looking just pathetic at one of our local animal shelters.  For an exuberant lab, she was downtrodden, thin and looked so hopelessly lost.  And she was heart worm positive meaning her chance at survival if she didn’t go into rescue was zero.  Look into those sweet almond eyes and say no?  Bet you can’t!   So, I brought her into our program.
Peaches is now the exuberant girl she was meant to be and is at a really good wieght.  She sailed through her treatment to kill off those heartworms that were in her heart and through-out her blood stream.  She is doing fantastic.
Peaches is great with other dogs and so so with cats.  She is not house trained – yet, but we are starting to work on that.  She is pretty well behaved in the house.
She loves, wait for it, to retrieve!

PetsConnect! is an all volunteer not-for-profit organization moving into out Tenth Year!
All the animals are in foster homes and well cared for, we pay our bills, make our thank yous and our volunteers work very hard to run PetsConnect! as a professional, caring, friendly business!
The animals in our program come from local animal shelters and to the employees and volunteers of our local animal shelters we are most grateful and thankful for the hard, emotionally taxing work they engage in daily.
