Zoe on the Go

06_28_2011Sebrina Tingley7573 Zoe is a happy go lucky active female Black Lab mix.  She is just over a year old, great with dogs and cats and housetrained.  Ok, she may butt flip a cat in her eagerness to get in a smell but a cat reaction correction cures the problem!  Zoe tends to take things in stride yet, she is, because of her size, a good watch dog.  She does bark when strangers come around.

Zoe came to us sick with heartworms and ragged around the edges.  Since coming into our program we have treated her for the heartworms, fed her good food and treated her well.   To read her initial blog click here.
You can see the results for yourself!

Here Zoe demonstrates her ability to learn quick!  She knows sit, come and is fairly good on shake.  She responds well to verbal commands, body language and treats.

Z oe enjoys playing with toys, getting into the doggy pool, rolling in the dirt and playing tug with an07_11_2011Sebrina Tingley7996other dog.  She really likes to work for treats.  Zoe is one of the dogs currently participating in our prison, DAYLIGHT, program where she is a big hit.  The inmates refer to her as ‘buff’.   Zoe goes to the prison program with Peaches and MacIntire.  You can read more about Zoe’s experience in the prison program by clicking here.

Zoe enjoys fetching.  Yet, she is not obnoxious about it meaning she knows when to stop and let you take a break!   We use balls for fetch.  For her fetching is more fun, not a job. Here is a video of her ‘fetching’.

And here is a video of Zoe on the walk and the teeter.   We find working with the dogs on some of the agility equipment to be helpful in building self-confidence, relieving boredom and we enjoy it.
