Gianna loves car rides

Gianna is a pretty short hair female Calico. She is about two years old and probably up to about ten pounds now. She is a big girl! She likes people and is rather smart. And she enjoys being out and about on a harness!
This cat enjoys car rides. It is the craziest thing! She will sit on the back seat all content and happy as can be. She hates carriers so maybe she figures the cat harness is a better option?
This is a photo of her taken laying on the ...

Boots

Boots here. I am a drop dead gorgeous Diva! That the people in my life chose to call me Boots exhibits just how low their IQ can be. But you know, we Diva’s have to just deal with the hand we are dealt!
For example, I have been in my foster mom’s home since May and she just now figured out that she has no photos to show off my pretty self. Hello, it’s September! See what I mean. Given the hand I’m dealt with I think I’m doing a ...

Casanova: The Biggest Lover Around!

When we say lover we mean lover. This boy is a charmer! So much so that he worked his way into the bed of his foster mom! He actually can’t get close enough to her when she’s trying to sleep! Sometimes he ends up sleeping with his head on her somewhere. If she’d let him, he’d sleep directly on top of her! He’s not against sharing a pillow with you either…but watch out! That tongue is likely to give you kisses on your neck right when you’re dozing off!
He enjoys ...

Reflections of Michiana Celtic Festival 2010
Point of View From a PetsConnect! Volunteer’s

On Sunday, September 5th, PetsConnect! volunteers and foster animals participated in the Michiana Celtic Festival at Howard Park, South Bend, IN. Several us arrived bright and early to set up our canopy, puppy pens, dogs crates, and other needed items. We were lucky to be able to keep our PetsConnect! trailer right by our set up so we could quickly grab what we needed! Set up didn’t take long but then there seems to be this time we ...

Clarence: A story to tell

Clarence
Male, neutered
Year old Beagle mix
Great with everything
Lacking in the IQ department or so it seems at times
Loves to chew
Doesn’t bark often but when he does .. it is loud
Clarence…. you have have heard this name before.
And it was not all that long ago for Clarence started off in our program as wee puppy!
His mom landed in a local shelter a bit rotund. It wasn’t long before the employees at that shelter realized the rotund was a pregnancy so they called and asked if we could take her into our program. ...

Clarence Jumps

Clarence loves the jumps.
He actually gets really excited at the opportunity to go out and show off his jumping skills!
The first time we took him out where the agility equipment is set up it was only because that is where the sun was shining and we wanted to get some new photos. After we took some photos Dennis decided to take Clarence on a couple obstacles – the evening was so beautiful and we were not ready to go inside yet.
The photos turned out really well .. see how handsome ...

Sidney and The Catnip Plant

A cat nip plant happened to sprout up by the front porch. It was just one simple plant, but that one plant is all that was needed to capture this girls attention!
She usually just rubs up against our legs purring away but not this day. This day she rolled and rolled back and forth all over the plant .. and then just laid back with eyes wide open at first .. but slowly she fell into a blissful cat nap.
What a silly cat!
Sidney came to us with another cat, Marshall. ...
