Irish Rose and puppies August 7th, 2010

Here is Irish Rose with two of her little puppies.  This photo was taken during a planned photo shoot where we were trying to get photos from the 2011 PetsConnect Calendar.
Irish Rose is a young Border Collie, her puppies are just six weeks of age in these photos taken on August 7th, 2010.

Volunteer to do Mini Projects

So, you are a volunteer.
You love dogs or cats or both.
And you want to help.
But you don’t know what to do or where to start;
Or maybe you want a contained project?
What we have below are several projects which would help out our organization in a variety of ways!

Cat = five years and older  plus Human = 55 years and older then the adoption fee = $50!

Green Week-end South Bend, Howard Park June 12th, 2010

PetsConnect! participated in the 2010 South Bend Green Week-end event, Saturday, June 12th, 2010 at Howard Park.
It was an event to celebrate, educate and learn about how to be kinder, gentler to our environment. 
It was a great event!  There were several large long tents full of a variety of other organizations, business, city efforts to move our community to caring for our environment.
Despite the heat, the humidity and the over looming threat of a storm that never happened, PetsConnect Volunteers and  foster animals alike had a great day.

DALIGHT: Bring on the Little Dogs!

Short legged dogs go to Prison!
And their reaction can be summed up in this photo .. ok, initially, it was not a big hit.  Mighty Mouse and Buttercup were certainly in the, we want to stay home category.   But in the end they were champs!
Day One: April 20th
The participants: The Inmates and PetsConnect! dogs.
The dogs included, Mighty Mouse, Buttercup, Tootsie, Paco, Dapper Dan, and Madison.
The inmates are actually older teen age males.  They enjoy spending time with the dogs and they have to be on good behavior to participate.
